He served as the Blaine/Ham Lake Rotary President for the 2013-2014 year. The Blaine/Ham Lake Rotary Club meets weekly to build fellowship and plan service projects.

Chris lives in Blaine with his family and finds his greatest enjoyment by spending time with his wife Niomi, his daughter Addyson (age 3), and son Bentley (age 5). Chris water skis when they are at the lake. Chris also runs races of all distances. In May 2016 Chris ran 30 miles on the Superior Hiking Trail with 250 other athletes. Between road race marathons, ultra-trail runs, and triathlons Chris is usually training for something.
