Mike Box, CFP
Mike joined Box Financial Advisors in May of 2018 as a Trading Associate; his primary roles include helping execute trades to help fulfill client requests as well as implement portfolio swaps that the Investment Committee deems appropriate given the current economic environment. In addition to his daily duties, Mike serves on the Investment team and is one of two Portfolio Analysts within the Investment Committee that meets quarterly to determine allocation changes to our proprietary portfolio models. Mike has also began transitioning into the Assistant Advisor role for Doug Box to provide additional support and client service.
Mike graduated from North Dakota State University in May of 2018. He earned a B.S. in Finance. Along with his college degree, Mike has continued his educational journey with passing the Series 66 along with the Series 7. In April of 2022, Mike finished his CFP course through the American College, and has now earned the mark of a CFP professional.
Mike and his wife, Karlee, met after graduating high school in 2014 and married in the summer of 2017. Mike and Karlee enjoy spending time with family and getting out on the lake or up to the cabin for quality time together.
As a part of Mike’s trading responsibilities, he makes sure that the following are completed on a regular basis:
- Fielding any incoming account requests (Deposits, Withdrawals, Allocation changes, etc.)
- Weekly cash reports to ensure there is an appropriate amount of cash in each account.
- Weekly tolerance checks to make sure that the portfolio does not get out of tolerance.
- Weekly model performance reports to help provide information on how the Portfolio Models are performing.
